Hollowell Sailing Club

In 2008 the competitors were welcomed with excellent new changing facilities. Not to be out done in 2009 the club house has now also been extensively refurbished and overall this must now be one of the finest clubs we visit. The welcome from members and volunteers matched the facilities and a great day was had by all.

 The raceboard and RS:X sailors went next and as usual some friendly banter could be heard, especially directed at the RS:X sailors busily reversing up and down the start line with the usual ‘’RS:X Attitude’’. Race one went to Mike Playle proving that age, older kit and a smaller 7.5 sail combined with great skill and years of practice and not least a little local knowledge can still see of the likes of Bob in second and Chris in third on the new Phantom boards.

Thanks goes to Hollowell Sailing Club for hosting the event, for permitting us to use the lounge/bar for our AGM during the lunch break and for hosting the 2008 series prize giving at the end of the days proceedings.
