Northampton Sailing Club (Pitsford) will be hosting its fourth UKWA Midlands Region Event and its first ever UKWA Inland Chgampionships on Saturday 25th & Sunday 267th April 2009. Pitsford reservoir is a large expanse of water with excellent facilities and I am sure we will have another memorable weekend. Pitsford is well suited to formula racing and was the home water of the UKWA'S 'Flying Frenchman'. Our thanks to the team at Pitsford for hosting this event and I am sure they will make us most welcome again. Overnight parking will be permitted on Friday & Saturday night. For directions and further information see www.northamptonsailingclub.org by clicking on the button below

(Both days will count to the Midlands Series. For your results to be included in the Midlands Series Event, you will have needed to have qualified for the Overall Midland series in 2008 by sailing 5 races or more, or have already sailed in a Midland event this year.) Anyone may enter regardless of this qualification.

Event 4 Carsington

Saturday 30th May 2009

Briefing 10.30                 First Race 11am

Carsington is a large man made reservoir and offers competitors excellent sailing. The lake is large enough to run several courses at the same time and provides excellent racing in all wind directions. We are always made welcome by the watersports centre which also has good changing and shower facilities. On site you will find shops and restaurants and with conference rooms this is a venue often used by the RYA as a training centre.

Turn left on entering the complex and continue to the watersports centre. Turn left and left again into the car park and you will find plenty of grass for rigging in front of the water. For directions and further information see www.carsingtonwater.com by clicking the button below.
