Northampton Sailing Club Saturday 17th April 2010 & Sunday 18th April 2010 This is also round one of the National Inland Series For all the latest details go to Inlands 2010 Briefing 10.30 First Race 11am Northampton Sailing Club (Pitsford) will be hosting its fourth UKWA Midlands Region Event and its first ever UKWA Inland Chgampionships on Saturday 25th & Sunday 267th April 2009. Pitsford reservoir is a large expanse of water with excellent facilities and I am sure we will have another memorable weekend. Pitsford is well suited to formula racing and was the home water of the UKWA'S 'Flying Frenchman'. Our thanks to the team at Pitsford for hosting this event and I am sure they will make us most welcome again. Overnight parking will be permitted on Friday & Saturday night. For your results to be included in the Midlands Series Event, you will have needed to have qualified for the Overall Midland series in 2008 by sailing 5 races or more, or have already sailed in a Midland event this year.) Anyone may enter regardless of this qualification. Fleets & classes to sailed in the Midland series Raceboard; All current National fleets plus a 'B' fleet Formula Windsurf; All current National Junior; All National & team 15 fleets Scoring on the day will be extracted from in line positions. Series scores will be based on extracted positions. No weight groups, no age divisions other than team 15, no gender divisions will apply. TBC Briefing 10.30 First Race 11am Bartley sailing Club has been a popular venue with competitors for many years. Home club of the current UKWA raceboard champion John Pete. Bartley reservoir is a good sized piece of water with excellent facilities. The club house is modern with good changing/shower facilities and provides good food and has a bar and lounge. There is a large car park and plenty of grass for rigging. Competitors and parents who wish to go to the waters edge, are reminded that above waste buoyancy must be worn at all times, on or at the waters edge.
