Event 3 Carsington

Saturday 19th & Sunday 20th April 2008

Briefing 10.30                 First Race 11am

Carsington is a large man made reservoir and offers competitors excellent sailing. The lake is large enough to run several courses at the same time and provides excellent racing in all wind directions. We are always made welcome by the watersports centre which also has good changing and shower facilities. On site you will find shops and restaurants and with conference rooms this is a venue often used by the RYA as a training centre. (Both days will count to the Midlands Series. For your results to be included in the Midlands Series Event, you will have needed to have qualified for the Overall Midland series in 2007 by sailing 5 races or more, or have already sailed in a Midland event this year.) Anyone may enter regardless of this qualification.

Turn left on entering the complex and continue to the watersports centre. Turn left and left again into the car park and you will find plenty of grass for rigging in front of the water. For directions and further information see www.carsingtonwater.com by clicking the button below.
