Rutland Water is one of the best inland course racing venues in the country. Following the success of last years series the country’s best course racers will return to Rutland Water to do battle to become the 2008 Inland Champion. With this years event including the RYA National Junior Championships we are expecting a large turn out.

Rutland NCH Children’s Marathon

The NCH Children’s Marathon will be the final race on Saturday (reserve day Sunday) from approximately 3.30pm depending on weather conditions. This is a charity event and all competitors are encouraged to find sponsors. If everyone raises £20.00 we will again raise over £2000.00 helping children in the UK.

Everyone raising sponsorship money for the NCH Charity will be given a commemorative T shirt sponsored by Windsurf  Magazine, Starboard / Tushingham, Ultra Sport Europe, Rutland Watersports / Anglian water, Noblemarine Insurance Ltd, Demon Sails, Boards Magazine, Surf Sales/Dakine, The UKWA Midlands Region, Ricks Windsurfing, Mex Homes Ltd, Red Nemesis Dog, Oxendon Trailers, Boardwise, Surf Centre/Mistral, Dave Nobles, Trevor Steels Trailers Neil Pryde and Scottish Newcastle Breweries. Thank-you to this years sponsors.

Competitors race around the perimeter of the lake a distance of some 20 miles. A shorter course will be in place for junior fleets. Those wishing just to enter the Marathon can do so on the day at the race office. Please download a sponsorship form from www.midlandswindsurfing.org.uk/ or contact Bob Ingram. 2007 saw over £2800.00 raised for the NCH Charity. This year the sponsorship funds will be split between NCH and the UKWA Midland region training boat fund. All corporate funds go to directly to the NCH charity.
